Independent of my job at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School as a clinical psychologist, I see clients in my private practice (Psychological Care and Consultancy, PLLC). I have extensive experience treating anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, low self-esteem, stresses associated with relationship and family conflicts, and educational and occupational concerns. I also have experience working with health professionals, high-functioning autism, mild TBI and cognitive problems. I am licensed in MA and RI. As a PsyPACT-approved provider, I can see clients except those in AK, CA, IA, HI, LA, MO, NM, NY, OR, and WA. I provide evidence-based treatments, including behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy. Using a detailed, dynamic case formulation (case formulation is a psychological term for understanding your difficulties above and beyond a psychiatric diagnosis), developing a well-thought-out and appropriate treatment plan. People I have worked with commented that I helped them gain skills to overcome past and current challenges. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, completed an internship at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School, and a postdoctoral fellowship at VA Boston/Harvard Medical School/Boston University School of Medicine. I currently work as a staff psychologist at Mass General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I also qualified as a clinical psychologist in the United Kingdom and progressed to the lead psychologist's role in the mood disorders’ pathway for Cambridgeshire’s secondary adult mental health teams. I have experience with various settings, worked with different age groups, and trained and supervised other mental health professionals in helping people with mental health conditions.
