Dr. Legler has followed a long personal and professional journey devoted to helping others. Her background is notable for graduating from Florida Atlantic University Cum Laude where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. While at Florida Atlantic, she completed an undergraduate thesis examining Event Related Potentials. Subsequently, she relocated to Chicago where she earned a Master's Degree and Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology. During her graduate training, she received advanced instruction in Clinical Health Psychology while completing a dissertation that looked at the relationship between personality factors and chronic pain. While in Chicago, she was fortunate enough to obtain employment with the world renowned Diamond Headache Inpatient Unit at St. Joseph Hospital where she assisted patients with symptom management through biofeedback. During that time, Dr. Legler also completed clinical externships at the United States Naval Hospital in Great Lakes Illinois and Lakeview Neurological Rehabilitation Hospital in Waterford, Wisconsin. She completed a formal neuropsychological internship with Neuropsychological Associates of Southwest Missouri where she rotated through regional hospitals and clinics working with patients who had suffered traumatic brain injuries, children with learning difficulties, individuals suffering with dementia, and other neurologically affected individuals. Subsequently, she completed a post-doctoral neuropsychological residency in Boca Raton, Florida. Currently, Dr. Legler maintains a private practice in Vero Beach, Florida offering neuropsychological, educational, and psychological assessment and treatment and treatment for children, adolescent, and adult populations.
