I am licensed psychologist providing psychological services to all but specialize in men's issues and LGBTQ issues; i.e, struggles with intimacy, communication, relationships. What makes a good partner, husband, son, father? Am I a poor communicator? What is healthy sexuality? Is this addictive or unhealthy? Is what happened traumatic? Have I healed? Would it benefit me to talk about it? These questions can repeat throughout our lifetime. They are complex questions and navigating answers with others may increase disconnection. I offer safe non-judgmental space to explore these ideas individually, with couples, or as a family.
I provide psychoeducation on the brain body connection. I teach effective easy daily skills that ground the body, calm the mind, manage intrusive and disruptive thoughts, and learn to stay present. You will expand your emotional awareness and vocabulary, clarify your needs and wants effectively, and communicate with others at a deeper advanced level.
I specialize in treating complex trauma experiences unique to men and the LGBTQ community including issues related to childhood/adolescent dynamics, inappropriate/misguided parental/caregiver boundaries, emotional neglect, religious shame/abuse, sexual identify shame.
