I strongly believe you should feel comfortable with the therapist you choose. When you feel this way, therapy is more likely to be helpful to you. Which is why I offer a free phone consultation for new clients. Call me so that we may find out if working together is the right choice for you. I also offer Group Therapy. Group therapy is often helpful for addressing a variety of issues including: difficulties with family, friends or co-workers; stress; life transitions (e.g., parenting, divorce, career changes); personality disorders; and depression and anxiety. Group members work to express their own problems, feelings, ideas and reactions as freely and honestly as possible. Such exploration gives the group the important information needed to understand and help one another. Members learn not only to understand themselves and their own issues but also become sources of support and help for other members.
