I am a licensed psychologist with 35+ years experience in the counseling profession.

My approach is collaborative, strength-based, solution-focused, and research-evidence-based. I have worked in a variety of settings (outpatient, hospitals, and universities) as clinician, researcher, and educator. I have had the privilege to work with many people (children, adolescents, adults) to develop coping skills or to resolve a variety of challenging and often seemingly-overwhelming issues that so many of us face throughout our lives. The first step to any change is - HOPE. There is help for you and your loved ones - please reach out.
My first goal is to understand you and your unique situation through - compassion - accurate empathy. This process primarily involves listening to you. This process also involves a comprehensive assessment of you in the context of your life - your strengths and challenges you face. Then together we build your care plan.
Our work together will be an "integrative approach". That is we will find the "best fit" for you in how we structure the counseling sessions. The approach will always include the "whole person" perspective (biological, psychological, social, cultural), and solution-focused/strength-based approaches. Cognitive-behavioral counseling is also foundational.
