I started my professional career as a social psychologist, and this early training and commitment to research on environmental influences has shaped my nearly two decades of work as a therapist. I received a Ph.D. from Princeton University and completed the four-year postgraduate training program at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in New York, where I have also taught psychoanalytic history and theory. As a licensed psychologist in the state of New York, I have been working with individuals and couples in private practice since 2002.
