I believe that we can do hard things, including therapy. Therapy with me is a particularly active and engaging process during which we collaboratively look at what is not working in your life and identify steps to improve it. I believe that stories are our greatest power and encourage clients to tell theirs as accurately and meaningfully as possible (yes, this includes the "ugly" stuff). As a therapist, I also believe in community care and recognize that not all mental health concerns are individually determined. Thus, I encourage clients to explore the impact of their intergenerational and environmental histories and resources. I offer evidence-based treatments for a variety of conditions, including trauma/PTSD and addiction. I also offer liberation, gender-affirming (including HRT/GCS evaluations/letters), and sports performance therapy. I believe that each client's struggles are shaped by their unique identities and histories and adjust my treatment approach accordingly. Taking the initial step of reaching out to a therapist can be daunting, especially if you have been harmed by the therapy or medicine community in the past. Thus, I offer free, 30-minute consultations, so you know exactly what you are getting into. Nothing changes until something changes, so let's talk about what change can look like for you.
