Dr. Teona Amble is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Houston. Dr. Amble is passionate about helping people to grow in their personal and professional lives and to manage emotional distress and psychiatric symptoms. She takes pride in helping her clients become their own therapists/ coaches, more confident in managing life’s demands. Dr. Amble’s work with clients involves mindfulness-based and cognitive-behavioral interventions to achieve goals and build coping tools. She integrates principles of health psychology; stress management; and pain psychology to treat clients with physical and mental health challenges. She enjoys using psychological theories and mind-body interventions to help children, adolescents, couples, families, and adults from diverse backgrounds to improve their physical and mental health. Her assessment skills include diagnostic evaluation for psychiatric disorders and psychological problems. She integrates results from thorough interviews and standardized assessment measures to give you insights into your well-being and self-development. She provides clients with reports which are easy to understand and helpful recommendations for getting support with education and career accommodations and identifying focus for therapy or coaching. Dr. Amble and her clients create therapy and coaching plans based upon their unique needs and goals.
