Dr. Rothke consults to legal professionals and insurance companies, evaluating and treating personal injury, disability, and workers’ compensation claimants with conditions such as brain injury, dementia, exposure to neurotoxins, post-traumatic stress disorder, and depression. He also consults to business and industry regarding fitness for duty of professional and line staff, risk assessment, and need for job modifications to accommodate a cognitive or emotional disability. Services include: assessment of safety issues posed by a mental disability and how to manage them; evaluation of the competencies to work, manage finances, and manage personal affairs; and assessment of testamentary capacity and susceptibility to undue influence. Dr. Rothke received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kentucky and is board certified in both Clinical Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. He served as Director of the Neuropsychology Testing Laboratory and head of the Department of Psychology at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. He served as President of the Illinois Psychological Association in 2007-2008 and 2009-2010 and co-chaired the task force to institute mandatory continuing education requirements for psychologists in Illinois. He is licensed in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Dr. Rothke has published articles in legal, insurance, and psychology journals including The Clinical Neuropsychologist, Psychological Assessment, and Physician Leadership Journal.
