Feeling anxious? Can't get going? Tired all the time? If you're stuck in a rut and just don't feel like yourself anymore, it may be time for a change. Therapy can give you a comfortable, confidential place to problem-solve and keep you accountable for making the changes necessary to get back on track. I'd be more than happy to offer a fresh perspective and work with you to figure out a plan that fits with your lifestyle and goals. I see adults and older adolescents, with a specialization in the college population. I particularly enjoy working with anyone in a transition phase of life, however, as these are times when people often struggle (and sometimes develop symptoms of depression or anxiety as a result). Some common transitions I enjoy helping with are the shifts from adolescence to adulthood, student to working professional, single to partnered (and vice-versa), partner to parent, and so on. Grief is another significant transition I like to join people in as they navigate life after a loss. Whatever your concern, I'd be happy to speak with you briefly by phone so you can get a feel for my approach and decide whether I'd be a good fit. I do not accept insurance, but can provide you with a receipt to file with your insurance company for reimbursement of the cost of therapy. Most insurance plans offer some mental health coverage, but it's always a good idea to check with yours before deciding to work with a particular therapist. Please contact me at Brentwood Counseling Associates if you'd like to learn more or schedule an appointment. I'd love to see how I can help.
