I am a Licensed Psychologist and earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, as well as a Postdoctoral Certificate in Forensic Psychology, from Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Schaumburg. I offer a variety of services, including supervision, consultation, workshops/trainings, psychological assessments, and psychotherapy. My approach to the services offered is always based on the individuals needs. In psychotherapy I generally integrate of a variety of approaches, including interpersonal, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). However, I primarily utilize Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) based on its empirical/research support, assistance to individuals in understanding, expressing, regulating, and transforming their emotional responses, and the warm, supportive stance. In addition to the more traditional approaches to psychotherapy, I also integrate holistic approaches, such as yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. I am comfortable in assessing and treating a wide range of presenting problems experienced by adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and religions. Additionally, I specialize in treatment of active duty and retired military, first responders, trauma/PTSD, and substance use disorders. My goal is to assist individuals in improving their emotional well-being through warm, genuine, non-judgmental exploration of the individual’s experiences.
