Dr. Kidkarndee aka Dr. K is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in the psychodiagnostic assessment and evidence-based treatment of individuals across the lifespan affected by anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social phobia, and other social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. He is an integrative clinician with training in various cognitive-behavioral therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (MB-CBT), Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as Interpersonal Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
Dr. Kidkarndee also specializes in LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy. Affirmative therapy is an approach to therapy that embraces a positive view of LGBTQ identities and relationships while addressing the negative influences that heterosexism (i.e., heteronormative assumptions, institutional heterosexism, and heterosexual privilege), homophobia, and transphobia have on the lives of LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Dr. Kidkarndee received his Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) in Combined School-Clinical Psychology at Pace University – NY. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship at Wesleyan University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and received specialty training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety and related disorders at the Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy.
