I provide treatment for adults only, both individually and as a couple, and specialize in cognitive-behavioral/solution-focused work with the emphasis on enhancing coping strategies. I can treat depression, anxiety disorders, relationship problems, life stress, grief, coping with medical problems/pain disorders, alcohol abuse, and parenting stress. I use a lot of cognitive restructuring techniques and train in relaxation and communication/problem-solving strategies. I am able to do systematic desensitization treatment for specific phobias and impulse disorders (e.g. fear of flying, driving, kleptomania, gambling addiction, excessive spending addictions, and trauma-based disorders). During this pandemic I am able to provide telehealth counseling to residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.
