My style is interactive and collaborative. I bring my knowledge of psychological theories, and you bring information about your experiences, perceptions, and your understanding of your current situation. Together we will work on developing a common understanding of the key issue that brings you to therapy, and together we will set goals for our work together. I am drawn to theories that aim to understand how we experience our world in the here and now, and how we understand ourselves in relation to the important people in our lives. I believe that the characteristics (gender, culture, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, etc.) that make us unique, also inform our understanding of the world around us. As a practitioner, I aim to understand the world as you experience it, and then tailor my strategies and interventions accordingly.
