Through an objective and supportive relationship, which is often called the therapy alliance, I specialize in helping clients reach their short-term and/or long-term personal goals. I have a broad range of experience treating conditions, solving problems, and coping with circumstances that influence the psychological (emotional/cognitive) functioning of adult human beings of all ages and gender. I am a primarily a person-centered therapist with advanced training and expertise in treating conditions such as trauma, anxiety, and depression with evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and eye-movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR). I have worked successfully with victims of natural disasters, interpersonal victimization (i.e., abuse, sexual, etc.), and military veterans of combat.
I believe everyone is entitled to their "best possible" quality of life, which is often limited by how our physiology, thoughts, and emotions interact with our circumstances. If you are looking for an objective and supportive ally to help overcome challenges (be they internal or external) and navigate toward your best possible, please make an appointment.
