I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with young children and their families. I received my PhD from the University of Delaware, where my advisor was emotions theorist Carroll Izard, PhD. After completing intensive training in pediatric and early childhood psychology at duPont Hospital for Children and my internship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, I spent two years in Brown University's Postdoctoral Fellowship Training Program, focused on early childhood interventions and research in children's emotional development. Before I moved to Massachusetts to start my private practice, I worked for nearly a decade at Psychological Centers in Rhode Island, directing the Early Intervention Behavioral Health Program and then the Center for Community-Based Services. In my clinical work, I focus on parenting consultation and treatment for children under 10 experiencing behavioral, emotional, sleep, feeding, toileting, or relational problems.
