Hello! I am an experienced licensed clinical psychologist. My orientation is relational psychodynamic, which means my clients and I approach problems through the lens of past and current relationships. My style is less structured and more client-centered than some other forms of therapy: you set the agenda and the pace. I also have a range of other techniques, like cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and family-systems approaches, that we can use where they fit best. I work with individuals and couples from age 13 through older adults. My areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, developmental issues, personality/characterological concerns, and relationship issues, among others. I earned my BA from Yale University, post-bac training in psychology from Columbia University, and my doctorate from Long Island University Brooklyn. I’ve trained at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC and the VA hospital in CT among other sites, and have worked with university students at Fairfield University, the University of New Haven, and Long Island University. Choosing a therapist can be very difficult! I’m happy to speak with you over the phone to answer questions about me and how I work, and start the conversation about whether we might be a good fit.
