I received my Ph.D. in Psychology from Howard University, Washington, DC in 1991. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and operate a private practice in Jamaica and Florida. Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Psychology, and Social Work at the University of the West Indies, Kingston Jamaica, and the coordinator of the Psychology Unit. My research interests are validating psychological tests and determining the effectiveness of therapeutic intervention strategies in the Caribbean. For the past 30 years, I have dedicated myself to helping people live empowered lives. However, the slow pace of behavior change using traditional psychological techniques led me to explore Hypnosis, Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Mental Emotional Release MER), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have also trained with Robbins International and completed their Life Mastery University and Leadership Academy and am now a Senior Leader in that organization. I work with several companies in Jamaica and provide seminars and workshops as well as individual counseling and corporate coaching. Some of the companies that have utilized my skills are Grace Kennedy and Company, Ltd, Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB) Group, Carib Star Shipping, Ltd, Bank of Jamaica, Petrojam, Ltd, Total Gas Station, and Jamaica International Insurance Company, Ltd (JIIC). I am currently a Life Coach with JMMB’s Executive Leadership program. The techniques and experiences that I have acquired over the years allow me to integrate traditional psychology with technologies of the mind to help people achieve rapid, long-lasting changes in their lives. Currently, my passion is training others in the techniques so that more people can be helped. In addition to being a trained psychologist, I am also certified as a Quit Smoking Specialist, a Trainer and Master Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic Programming, Mental Emotional Release, a Clinical Hypnotherapist,
