Hello, my name is Ronak Makadia. I am a licensed clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) with additional training in social work (MSW). As a second‑generation Asian American, I understand firsthand the stigma and shame that can surround seeking therapy, particularly within Asian American communities. As a cis‑gender woman of color, I am committed to providing culturally competent and affirming care. I work exclusively with adults and older adults who are high‑functioning yet need support in navigating obstacles in their lives. Due to the nature of my private practice, I am not able to accept clients seeking treatment for trauma, substance use concerns, or severe mental illness. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and focused on helping you move past what keeps you feeling stuck. Together, we will build, strengthen, and practice healthy coping strategies that support meaningful progress. Therapy does not have to be painful—I aim to create a welcoming and affirming space where growth feels accessible and supported. I strongly believe in destigmatizing therapy and increasing access to mental health care, and I remain committed to providing high‑quality, compassionate services. If you are interested in working together, please reach out to discuss scheduling a first appointment. I look forward to connecting with you!
