Ron Valle, Ph.D. (#PSY8615) is a psychotherapist, professor of psychology, and published scholar. Ron has served as a psychologist for over 35 years working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of clinical settings. He employs an integrated therapy approach, specializing in clients with anxiety, chronic pain, and stress-related disorders and with those facing a life-threatening diagnosis and their families. He has served as a professor in both behavioral and existential departments of psychology at major universities and has published extensively, including six books and over 60 professional journal articles and book chapters in the areas of clinical, humanistic, existential, social, phenomenological, transpersonal, and philosophical psychology. A long-time practitioner and teacher of meditation, Ron developed the Integrated Therapy Program for Transforming Stress and Pain while director of an outpatient university hospital pain clinic. He is editor of The Changing Faces of Therapy: Evolving Perspectives in Clinical Practice and Assessment and author of Opening to Dying and Grieving: A Sacred Journey.
