I am a Licensed Psychologist at Central Texas Psychotherapy. I provide evidence-based psychological services for adults and couples. In my 30 years of clinical practice, I have helped people with a wide range of life problems, including depression and anxiety, relationship and family concerns, chronic and terminal medical conditions, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, religious and spiritual issues, gender and identity concerns, low self-esteem, and coping with life transitions.
My clients describe my clinical style as authentic, compassionate, and collaborative. My highest priority is to create a safe, welcoming, and culturally-affirming space to help you reach your treatment goals. I use evidence-based psychological therapies that include emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness and acceptance practices, cognitive-behavioral interventions, and relational and interpersonal approaches. We work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your needs and results in progress.
I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University. I completed a Predoctoral Residency in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, and a Senior Fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical School. I am a Gottman certified therapist, and have completed advanced clinical training in emotionally focused herapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mind/body Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
