I am a licensed clinical psychologist serving patients in Arizona from my Flagstaff based office and through telepsychology. I understand the importance of psychotherapy for people who have experienced trauma and provide a trauma informed, non-judgmental, and relational approach to psychotherapy. While I was growing up in the 1960’s I was deeply curious about mythology, fairy tales, and folk music. Ancient and full of wisdom, these stories provide symbolic clues about how to navigate uncertain waters. They helped me make sense of my experience in a world with little information available to transgender kids. In an American culture that is becoming increasingly complex and inclusive, the past continues to influence us even as we struggle to address historical and current injustices. As individuals, each of us has our own unique story to tell. I have been counseling people since 2007 and received a M.S. from the counseling program at Southern Oregon University in 2009. I completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2016. I grew up in the Midwest and moved to Oregon where I lived for most of my adult life. In 2017 I moved to the culturally diverse state of Arizona where I now enjoy hiking with my dog and exploring the historical and geological wonders of the state. I also love to travel, listen to music from around the world, and learn about non-ordinary states of consciousness.
