Dr. Martielli attended Rutgers University and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. He attended Saint Louis University for graduate school and earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He completed a year-long internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and went on to work as a Research Supervisor at the University of California – San Diego. He was a staff psychologist at the VA St. Louis Health Care System from 2007-2020 where he worked in the Primary Care-Mental Health Integration (PC-MHI) program, a program that embeds psychologists within a primary care clinic to increase assess of mental health services for Veterans seeking care at the VA. He received a Presidential citation from the President of the American Psychological Association for his work in this field. In 2020 he transitioned to working for the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 15 Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) and in 2023 became the Program Manager for the PC-MHI Program of the VISN 17 Mental Health CRH, where he continues to work currently. He is board-certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He has served as the President of the Missouri Psychological Association.
