I am a New York State licensed psychologist with more than 15 years of experience as a private practitioner and 25 years as a certified school psychologist. As a licensed psychologist in private practice in Jefferson Valley, NY, I provide psychotherapy and evaluation services to adolescents, teenagers and adults. I enjoy helping people explore the solutions and insights they seek through therapeutic and diagnostic processes.
I earned my doctoral degree in school-clinical-child psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. Post-doctoral training has included Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with Cognitive Behavioral Consultants in White Plains, NY.
As an adjunct professor, I recently accepted a graduate level teaching position in the Department of Applied Psychology at NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Previously, I taught graduate and undergraduate psychology courses in ethics, psychopathology, assessment, and personality theory at Fairfield University and Mercy College.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) with additional participation in the APA Practice Organization.
My office in Jefferson Valley is centrally located in Northern Westchester and very close to Yorktown, Mahopac, Putnam Valley, Mohegan Lake, Somers, Cortlandt Manor and Shrub Oak.
