I received my PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Montana in 1986. I have been in private practice for over 16 years; I also served as the Chief of the Psychology Department at Montana State Hospital for over 11 years; I was a tenured professor of Psychology at the University of Kentucky and at the University of North Texas. As a psychologist in private practice, I believe the client and therapist need to work together as a team to achieve identified goals to allow the client to work through their problems, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, or coping with a life transition or crisis. I also work with people struggling with eating disorders, parenting issues, divorce, and women's issues. In my work, I am flexible, active and good-humored in helping clients understand their thoughts and feelings and explore different ways to address and resolve their difficulties.
