Peggy Renner, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist in Nevada. She received her Clinical Psychology doctorate from the University of Alabama in 2002, with a specialization in Clinical Child Psychology (APA approved). Dr. Renner's undergraduate training was completed at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where she graduated in 1996 with Highest Honors.
While completing her graduate studies at the University of Alabama, Dr. Renner provided psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral and emotional challenges in a variety of settings. These settings included community mental health centers, school districts, a children's residential treatment center, and an outpatient treatment program for children and adolescents.
Dr. Renner received specialized training in Autism Spectrum Disorders. She served as a therapist and diagnostician for 5 years at the University of Alabama Pervasive Developmental Disorders Clinic. Her specialized training included conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments, providing individual and family therapy services to children and parents, conducting school consultations, conducting staff/teacher trainings, attending IEP meetings, training classroom aides, and leading social skill groups.
Dr. Renner completed a Child Clinical APA approved pre-doctoral internship at JFK Partners at the University of Colorado Health and Sciences Center, with a focus on children, adolescents, and adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center with focus on program evaluations.
