I received my PhD in clinical psychology from Harvard University and am professor of psychiatry emeritus at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where I have been teaching and practicing for 50 years. I am a leading researcher and practitioner in biofeedback, stress management, and mind body medicine. I am past president of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback and have received their Lifetime Achievement Award. I have edited four editions of Principles and Practice of Stress Management, and have taught and practiced stress management methods throughout the world.
