I am a clinical psychologist who started working in the mental health field in 2010. I have experience in outpatient behavioral health centers, prisons, hospitals, schools, and private practice settings. The vast majority of my clinical experience has been with men, and more specifically with younger men. While not always the clinical focus, I have experienced the value of gender-specific mental health work, which is why I have held a membership in American Psychology Association’s (APA) Division 51 The Society for the Study of Men and Masculinity. Parallel to assisting others establish and maintain healthy masculinity, I have employed a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, exposure-based therapies, and motivational interviewing with individuals struggling with a myriad of psychological diagnoses. In addition to providing individual psychotherapeutic services, I have experience with therapeutic assessment, which is a type of psychological testing that informs diagnostic understanding and improves treatment process. In my private practice I am motivated to continue providing quality mental health care to those individuals who are struggling and need help discovering a life where they are happy and successful…however those terms may be defined by that particular person.
