The goodness of fit with your therapist and therapy that is attuned to your needs and goals are essential ingredients of an effective and meaningful therapy experience. In a safe, non-judgmental environment, I will collaboratively work with you in navigating the challenges you face so you can move forward in your life with greater awareness, equanimity and positive behavioral changes. My clinical perspective is integrative and promotes the recognition and use of your strengths to address your vulnerabilities and pain. I honor and welcome adults of all ages who are diverse in ethnicity, race, gender and sexual orientation. Relationships with intimate partners, families, friends and colleagues are central themes of my practice in treating couples and individuals dealing with intimacy, sexuality, daily stressors and major life changes.
My specializations include (in)fertility & perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, women's life transitions, maternal well-being, intermarriage and wedding therapy. I help couples and families negotiate their differences and value and build on their shared strengths.
My rabbinical services include spiritual, premarital, wedding and bereavement counseling and officiation of weddings, funerals, baby-namings and b'nai mitzvah. As a Temple University adjunct professor since 2006, I have taught life span psychology, sexuality, trauma and resilience, family systems and intimate relationships. My studies of Buddhist philosophy and yoga for many years has contributed to a useful integration of therapeutic mind-body awareness in my therapy practice.
