Dr. Nicole Spanakis is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with specialized training in evidence-based psychotherapy treatments for anxiety, depressive disorders, panic disorders, posttraumatic stress disorders and bipolar disorders. She is familiar with a wide variety of mental health conditions and problems including, but not limited to, grief and significant loss, borderline personality disorder, bullying, suicidal ideation, sexual, physical, verbal and emotional abuse (historic and present), LGBTQ and racial identity related issues. Her approach is a collaborative one in which she and the client work together to identify goals and decide which course of treatment would be the most beneficial. Dr. Spanakis works to create an open and accepting environment where difficult topics can be addressed and worked through allowing the client to achieve a more fulfilling life.
Dr. Spanakis received her bachelor’s degree from Clark University. She went on to receive her Masters in Clinical Psychology and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England. She completed her APA- accredited psychology internship as well as a post doctorial fellowship specializing in a variety of individual and group interventions.
