I was born and raised in New York and moved to Florida as a teenager. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology (w/ interests in neuroscience, clinical psychology, philosophy, and substance use), I started my advanced studies. My first job was as a teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools while also a graduate student in school psychology. I am proud to have been named Rookie Teacher of the Year at John G. Dupuis Elementary. At the conclusion of my Master of Science (M.S.) and Specialist Degree (Psy.S.) training at the NSU College of Psychology (w/ interests in traumatic brain injury), I started my internship in school psychology for Orange County Public Schools. ​ I went on to complete my Doctorate in School Psychology at Loyola University Chicago (w/ interests in ADHD and dyslexia). I am a Certified School Psychologist through the Florida Department of Education, a Licensed School Psychologist (specialty in ADHD and Dyslexia) through the Florida Department of Health, and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist through the National Association of School Psychologists. I have been a practicing school psychologist for over 15 years. ​I am a Past President (2019) of the Florida Association of School Psychologists and Past President (twice) of the Orange County Association of School Psychologists. I have spoken as an expert panel member to the Florida Senate Education Appropriations Committee and delivered presentations to school psychologists, school board members, and district superintendents. My passion for helping people succeed stems from my own struggles as a child and my upbringing with siblings who have special needs. I am married and have two beautiful daughters.
