Dr. Vallejos earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, where she graduated with honors. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Internship training was completed at Florida International University Counseling and Psychological Services and she completed her post-doctoral training in a private practice setting. Post-licensure, she has continued to work in private practice where she has provided evidence-based psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. Dr. Vallejos has experience working in a variety of settings, including college counseling centers, community mental health centers, non-profit organization, and private practice. She has received advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Professional affiliations include the American Psychological Association (APA). Currently, Dr. Vallejos is a staff psychologist at The Snow Psychology Group, LLC where she provides individual and group therapy to adolescents (aged 14+) and adults of all ages. She conducts psychotherapy from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) orientation and incorporates elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness into treatment to provide patients with skills that will instill hope and confidence in their own ability to overcome the obstacles that they may encounter. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, oppositional behaviors and anger issues, as well as interpersonal and relationship issues. She also leads a weekly therapy group specifically for high school girls called Teens Managing Emotions & Relationships. She offers daytime and evening appointments.
