Growing up in Missouri gave me a wanderlust so I went to college in California. I then returned to my roots and earned my masters in clinical psychology at the University of Kansas and my Ph.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I then joined the United States Air Force and served for four years as a psychologist at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, Mississippi, and Andrews AFB, Maryland. Ending up on the East coast, I worked as the Internship Director & Associate Director of the Georgetown University Counseling Center. After practicing psycholgy for 40 years in Burke, Virginia, I have moved my practice to Purcellville, Virginia. I have received advanced training in Bowen Family Systems Theory and Beck's Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
