Dr. Haug is a licensed clinical psychologist in California and maintains a small private practice in the south Bay Area. She has clinical expertise in evidence-based treatments for substance use disorders such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based therapies. She also has long-standing clinical interest in the treatment of eating and weight disorders, as well as women's behavioral health. Dr. Haug is Professor in the Department of Psychology at Palo Alto University. She is core faculty in the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium, and Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Haug completed a clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) in the area of public service and minority mental health. She was on the SFGH medical staff as an attending psychologist where she taught medical students and mentored psychology fellows. Dr. Haug was previously a faculty member in the UCSF School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and an Instructor at UC Berkeley Extension in the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies Program.
