My practice focuses on helping people develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. I believe in building a safe, respectful and compassionate relationship with my clients where we can exchange direct, honest, and meaningful feedback. Within this trusting relationship, we can explore your challenges and strengths so that you have more healthy choices regarding your life goals. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, anger, isolation, grief or relationship issues, or if you simply want to live more authentically and fully, there is hope. Key elements in the change process include curiosity and a desire to learn about yourself. Because we are all unique, my therapy approach is flexible depending on your needs and goals. I integrate current research and a range of theoretical orientations in my practice (e.g., relational, attachment, developmental, neurobiology, mindfulness, and CBT). I work primarily with adults and older adolescents in individual and group psychotherapy. While individual therapy comprises a sizable portion of my practice, as a Certified Group Psychotherapist and Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA), I know the power of group therapy to improve old relational patterns, sometimes in ways that surpass individual counseling. When relevant, this can be a wonderful treatment option. I welcome you to call for a free phone consultation.
