General and Family Focused Practice I provide respectful, supportive therapy for individuals experiencing difficult life changes, loss, depression, anxiety, stress, troubled relationships, and health problems complicated by emotional distress. I have decades of experience providing support for individual, couple and family recovery from alcohol and drug abuse or dependence as well as help for people who have had traumatic experience, including neglect, assault or abuse in childhood. I am trained in Gottman, EFT and other strategies to facilitate positive change for couple and family relationships. I enjoy the processes of premarital, remarriage and step-family therapy. I offer family therapy to adult family members in all configurations, adult children and their parents, adult siblings, and family systems with adolescents. I offer parenting support and sometimes include children in family sessions but do not have a child-focused practice. Family-Business Consultation I consult to families on relationship, structural and development issues of closely held businesses. I work from a dynamic systems perspective and lifetime experience of family entrepreneurship.
