Dr. Melissa Walt is a licensed clinical psychologist at Cleveland Clinic Foundation - Taussig Cancer Institute. She specializes in psychological treatment of individuals with cancer including adjustment to initial diagnosis of cancer, adjustment to cancer and chronic medical illness, issues of grief and loss, chronic pain management, mood and anxiety disorders among individuals diagnosed with cancer, and stress management using relaxation and mindfulness training. Dr. Walt completed a pre-doctoral internship at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System in Las Vegas, NV and a post-doctoral fellowship at Memphis VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN. She has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
