Dr. Dillon specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families to cope with specific challenges such as general anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, tic disorders, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. She has extensive experience with both neurotypical and neurodivergent clients, such as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a trained School Psychologist, she enjoys collaborating with school staff and helping families understand the special education system, evaluation process, and how to advocate for their loved one.
Dr. Dillon believes that every family has unique challenges and strengths. Her ability to be warm and encouraging while also challenging her clients to meet their goals in a supportive environment allows parents and children to feel empowered. She also utilizes evidence-based techniques to equip her clients with a comprehensive skill set. Dr. Dillon recognizes that these are not “one-size-fits-all” treatment modalities and can adapt these approaches to fit the individual developmental and cognitive level of each client, such as combining some of these approaches.
Dr. Dillon returned to her hometown of Austin in 2018 and joined a practice specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders. She has completed several specialized training programs and has earned additional certifications in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT). Additionally, she has served as a clinical supervisor for those in the final stages of their postdoctoral training program.
