I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist providing therapy and teletherapy services to adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I received my B.A. from UC Irvine and Ph.D. from Palo Alto University with an emphasis in Women’s Health. I have taught as an adjunct instructor of psychology and currently work as a therapist in private practice with locations in Newport Beach and San Diego, CA. I describe my therapy services as integrative, humanistic, and client-focused and I employ a number of evidence-based practices that are matched to the needs and cultural presentation of the clients with whom I work. No single approach to therapy works for everyone and therefore, I focus on treating the whole and unique person, not just a set of symptoms. The start of therapy always begins with building a strong therapeutic relationship, which forms the foundation of my work. It is vitally important that a therapeutic alliance is built early on, as having a trusting and secure connection between therapist and client is one of the strongest indicators of successful therapy. From here, I tend to use evidence-based tools such as mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral approaches including Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as transpersonal & person-centered therapy, and family systems theory. Within a supportive and collaborative environment, I help my clients find new insights, achieve deeper understanding, and improve their relationship with themselves and others. I am committed to helping my clients grow in a judgment-free, safe, and enriching environment that facilitates positive and enduring change. I believe in each person's unique ability to grow, gain awareness, and rediscover their truest self.
