Mary Stockton, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and women toward recovery from depression and various forms of anxiety, including social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic, and specific fears and phobias. Her work in women’s mental health has addressed interpersonal relationship problems, perinatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, grief, infant loss/death of a child, procrastination, and perfectionism. She loves to collaborate by combining her training with a client's hard work in order to help others live happier and more meaningful lives, and she often encourages patients to complete psychotherapy homework in order to achieve dramatic recovery. Dr. Stockton earned a certificate in College Counseling from the American College Counseling Association and her women's psychotherapy practice includes work with women from The College of Wooster. She practices an advanced form of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy called TEAM-CBT, an active, data-driven, measurement-based approach that places strong emphasis on empathy and the therapeutic relationship as well as motivation for change. It is best suited to those who commit to an active approach and to working hard toward recovery. Dr. Stockton is Level 4 certified in TEAM-CBT through The Feeling Good Institute in Palo Alto, California. At Chrysalis Family Solutions in Wooster, Ohio, Dr. Stockton works with children and adolescents ages 9-17 and women 18 years and older. Prior to joining Chrysalis Family Solutions, Dr. Stockton served as a psychologist at The Women's Health Center of a regional medical practice of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She is an alumna of Kenyon College and earned her doctorate at DePaul University. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including The Journal of Psychology and the Behavioral Sciences, Behavior Therapy, and Health Education Research.
