Martha Wetter, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy to treat trauma-based disorders. She received her Ph.D. in 1984 from the University of Kentucky, and has worked in independent practice, in community mental health, and in an academic position in the Psychology Department at UK. In 1996, she established the DBT program at the Comprehensive Care Center in Lexington, KY, and she directed this program until August, 2005. During that time she trained Comprehensive Care Center staff throughout the region. She now has a private practice in Lexington, and she continues to run a DBT program in this setting, and to train other mental health professions in DBT. She has been on the Board of the Kentucky Psychological Association many years, serving as President in 2011.
