Mine is a generalist practice working adolescents and adults. I have extensive experience ranging from hospital work and residential treatment to outpatient practice. My orientation is broadly psychodynamic, focusing on the development of coping styles that may once have been effective but which no longer serve their original purpose. Better understanding patterns of coping and relating to others allows a more focused approach to change. I work with anxiety and mood problems, personality disorders, and problems in living a satisfying life. Most presenting concerns are complex and often do not fit neatly into formal diagnostic categories. My focus is always on treating the person, not a diagnosis.
