Dr. Kay has been in private practice since 1980 and is often relied upon by parents and schools to perform Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE’s) for school-age children and college students. In addition, Dr. Kay and her associates provide psychotherapy for children/adults; marriage counseling; behavior management; Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT); Cogmed working memory training; ADA consultation for individuals, agencies, schools and colleges; and EMDR trauma therapy.
Dr. Kay has testified as an expert in State & Federal courts and in Educational Due Process proceedings for individuals with Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities (NLD), Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism, Dysgraphia & disorders of Written Expression, Reading disabilities, Tourette syndrome, Post Otitis Auditory Disorder (POAD), intellectual disabilities, genetic syndromes & other disabilities.
