My interest in being a therapist came relatively late in my life and was greatly inspired by my own inner journey. I entered therapy due to a vague inner feeling that I had more to do with my life but certain "blocks" prevented me from finding and engaging in my life's purpose. I put out an intention to the universe and then found a therapist I wanted to work with. I quickly became fascinated with psyche, our "final frontier", the journey we can take, if we so choose, to the depths of who we are. In the process I was able to examine and let go of the "blocks" holding me back, to identify and embrace my authentic being, to hear and respond to the call of my soul. I returned to school, received my PhD in Counseling Psychology and, well, here we are. I approach therapy knowing that we each seek our wholeness, we all seek to heal the interpersonal and societal damage this human life brings to us (whether we are aware that we seek it or unaware), along with all of its beauty and love. I especially believe in using nature in the healing process and the lessons connecting to nature brings us when we open to nature's wisdom.
