Dr. Morgan is from O‘ahu originally and went away to UMass Boston for his PhD in Clinical Psychology, where he studied mindfulness-based behavioral therapies for anxiety, as well as the impacts of social disadvantage on mental health. He returned home and completed his internship and post-doctoral fellowship with I Ola Lāhui, a local non-profit focusing on mental health in Native Hawaiian, rural, and other underserved communities. He focuses on mental health for older adults, their families, and with elder-care organizations including geriatricians, senior homes, adult day-care centers, and local agencies on ageing. He is passionate about increasing access to mental health care for older adults, since there are many challenges that come with aging that can't be easily fixed, but that many people struggle with alone. In his free time he enjoys being in the mountains and the ocean with his family and growing orchids and Native Hawaiian plants.
