Dr. Reineke received her PhD in Health Psychology at the University of Miami, with a full scholarship in Behavioral Medicine research. She completed neuropsychology training and didactics at the University of Miami Hospital under Bonnie Levin, PhD, who taught the Boston Process approach of her mentor, Edith Kaplan, PhD. Dr. Reineke had a geropsychology/neuropsychology internship at the Palo Alto VA - widely considered the top psychology internship stie in the US. Her primary rotation at the Palo Alto VA was inpatient rehabilitation, supervised by Harriet Katz Zeiner, PhD. She had advanced training in geropsychology with a neuropsychology emphasis at the Gainesville VA, where she participated in the University of Florida Memory Disorders Clinic with renowned behavioral neurologist, Kenneth Heilman, MD and performed neuropsychological testing at the University of Florida Hospital, supervised by neuropsychologist Russel Bauer, PhD. Upon returning to her home state of Michigan, she worked at the Bay (City) Medical Center Rehabilitation Unit for 2 years, then moved to Grand Rapids in 1996 to start her private practice. She currently sees adults and older adults for neuropsychological testing and psychotherapy. Her primary focus in psychotherapy is on cases of anxiety, using a combination of techniques - including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, internal family systems, visual imagery, and advanced relaxation techniques.
