I am a bilingual licensed psychologist specializing in psychological assessment and individual psychotherapy. My practice is focused on working with professionals, leaders, business owners/executives, parents with demanding careers, and other high-achieving adults. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, work-life stress, perfectionism, self-doubt/self-criticism, changes in mood, relationship concerns, burnout, or existential angst about life in general, I provide a safe space to help you feel understood, supported, and valued. Together we will identify your strengths, help you gain a better understanding of your underlying difficulties, develop a calmer mind, and work in a new direction to achieve your goals and live your best and most meaningful life.
My style is warm and down to earth, and my theoretical orientation draws from humanistic, mindfulness-based, and cognitive behavioral therapies. I provide services in both English and Spanish. In addition to in-office appointments, I also provide online video therapy sessions, using a secure Telehealth platform that is confidential and HIPAA-compliant.
I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and my undergraduate degree in psychology from Texas A&M University. I completed my APA-approved internship and postdoctoral residency at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio. My broad training and work experiences include VA hospitals and hospice units, brain injury rehabilitation programs, university counseling centers, and private practice (neuropsychology and general).
My psychology practice is based in San Antonio, TX, but I work with clients all over Texas, including major cities like Houston, Dallas, Austin, etc. I am licensed to practice across all PSYPACT states via telehealth/virtual services.
