I am a licensed psychologist who started out as an educator and recognized my strengths in psychology, which led to completing a master’s degree in clinical psychology followed by my doctorate in clinical psychology. My dedication and love of psychology is demonstrated in my psychotherapy work with patients, as well as in my varied experiences in testing and psychological evaluations. I hold myself to a high standard of excellence as I know what a profound effect a psychologist can make when helping patients create a narrative that enables them to make sense of their lives, as well as appreciate one’s complexities and uniqueness and live authentically.
I have had experience providing psychotherapy to patients from 8 years to 82 years of age with a broad range of psychological conditions, including anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorder, bereavement, and dementia. The private practice where I currently work receives a wide variety of referrals of patients with comorbid medical and mental health issues from area doctors and hospitals. I incorporate psychodynamic and client-centered therapies, as well as cognitive behavioral strategies. Additionally, I believe that a multidisciplinary approach is important as it ensures optimal support and thorough care of individuals.
