Dr. Lía A. Roth, was born in Argentina, where she studied psychology at the University of Buenos Aires. Once in the United States, she obtained a master’s and a doctoral degree. In 2016, the IPA awarded Dr. Roth a Research Training Fellowship.
Dr. Roth has assisted attorneys in her professional capacity since 2006. Currently, Dr. Roth works in private practice and teaches at China American Psychoanalytic Alliance. She has various books in print. Her last book, Psychoanalytic Perspectives on Gaze, Body Image, Shame, Judgment and Maternal Function: Being & Belonging, was published by Routledge in 2020.
