Dr. Leighna Harrison is a licensed clinical psychologist, providing therapy, training, and consultation to individuals, groups, and organizations. Her specialty areas include healing racial trauma, anxiety & depression, life transitions, women’s health and wellness, sexuality and intimate relationships, leadership development, and diversity, intersectionality, and inclusion. Dr. Harrison's employment experience ranges from VA medical centers and county-based hospital systems to community mental health centers and private psychotherapy clinics. Bilingual in Spanish, Dr. Harrison has expertise in, and especially enjoys working with women of color.
Dr. Harrison has conducted research at Stanford University, Palo Alto University, and the American Psychological Association; her research findings have been published in peer-reviewed journals, with presentations at conferences, both nationally and internationally. She has served as an elected member to the graduate student board of the American Psychological Association, and currently holds membership in the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, the National Latino Psychological Association, and the Association of Black Psychologists. Dr. Harrison earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Culture Studies from UCLA, and her Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology at Palo Alto University.
